FTC Splicing Kit is a professional splicing tool set developed from FTC’s own splicing workshop experience and designed for working with double-braid ropes, including ropes used in PPE applications. The kit contains one smooth, round-ended needle and five interchangeable fids, each clearly engraved with its diameter for quick identification and finished in black anodising for durability. The needle’s smooth surface passes cleanly through the rope without catching or pulling fibres, while the threaded connection makes changing fids quick and straightforward. An internal thread in each fid helps retain the rope during splicing, making controlled burial and extraction easier. The same style of tools used daily in FTC’s splicing workshop, this compact kit is particularly useful for producing slim splices intended to pass through mechanical climbing devices such as the FTC Freexion, Petzl ZigZag, and ART SpiderJack.
