UPDATE: Demo Day in Hamilton

Richard Tregoweth - Thursday, September 10, 2009

The Hamilton Demo Day, scheduled for Saturday 19 September at Ferrybank Park is shaping up to be a great event - only two bits of bad luck! Drew will probably not make it on Saturday due to late flight arrival from his R&D trip to the UK and Matt has injured himself. He might not be competing in the champs but should still be able to demo the ART Spiderjack and Positioner.

You will be able to check out the latest in climbing systems and equipment available from Treetools: DMM, ART, DB Tree, Petzl, Treemagineers, ISC, Wolf, Trango, Teufelberger, New England ropes and more. Talk with Johno and Matt about ‘no slack’ systems, Hitch Climber and Revolver tricks, SRT, multiple anchor points, throwline installation, rope savers and much more - you are welcome to trial the equipment on the day.

Johno will demonstrate the Thompson Unicender in action and you are welcome to try it yourself - this is probably the only Unicender in New Zealand so this is your opportunity to experience something truly different. The Unicender is getting rave reviews across the world and will be available for general sale later in the year.

Many of you have a ART Lockjack (or have possibly used one) - the Spiderjack 2 is the latest from ART and is a completely different piece of equipment. Matt uses the ART Spiderjack 2 and the ART Positioner - try them for yourself and give us your opinion.

Treetools will be on-site at Ferrybank Park from 8:00 am

PS For all you Waikato/BoP tree climbing competitors out there - Treetools are attempting to have the Hamilton event filmed on video! Its your chance to see yourself on the BIG screen (or little screen). We'll keep you posted!
