March is a BIG month for NZ tree climbers!

Three weekends during March will be taken up with tree climbing events so plan your time carefully.

Sunday 7 March: Open Masters Challenge, Cornwall Park, Greenlane (actual tree yet to be announced).

Saturday 13 March: South Island Regional TCC, SouthHagley Park, Christchurch (out-of-towners book your flights now!).

Saturday 20 March: Auckland Regional TCC, Western Park, Freeman's Bay, Auckland.

Sunday 21 March: Asia-Pacific Regional TCC, Western Park, Freeman's Bay Auckland.

Sunday 21 March: Official 'Open' Footlock World Record Attempt - official adjudicator Tom Greenwood (ISA ITCC sanctioned) from Melbourne, Australia.

Sunday 21 March: Efficiency through Safety Workshop by Thane Young (Dept of Labour), Drew Bristow (DB Tree) and Rossy Ross (Pro Climb).

One of the regulars at the NZ Regional Tree Competitions dropped in to Treetools to say hello last week while on a flying visit from Aussie. Zane Weddingis well known in tree climbing circles, particularly for his vocal support of fellow climbers at the comps - you can hear him in action on Jawand's andJimmy's YouTube climbs at the 2009 NZ National TCC. Zane is currently working in Australia and may not be able to attend the tree climbing events duringMarch.
