2010 Asia-Pacific Regional TCC representative, New Zealand climber James Kilpatrick won the mens footlock event at the 2010 ITCC in Chicago with a 14:11 second climb - check out the video below and then get out there and start practicing!

The secured footlock event measures the time it takes forthe climber to make a vertical ascent into the tree using a doubled rope attached via a prussic or friction hitch as fall protection. Mechanical ascendersare not allowed in this event.

The men's footlock is recorded at a height of 15 meters and 12 meters for the women's. The maximum time limit for this event is 60 seconds - obviouslyno problem for James!
