The Falteimer cube is the ultimate throwline cube… but you pay for the privilege of owning one! There are alternatives on the market but none have reached the level of quality found in the original.
At last, Stein the UK-based specialist arborist supplier, have come up with a viable alternative. The Stein Folding Cube MkII has rubber stoppers fitted to the corner rod ends to prevent the rods being exposed. The base material is stronger (and waterproof). The instructions are printed clearly on the cube corners and there is a logo printed on the outsides to help you fold the cube correctly. Like the Falteimer the Stein Cube has corner web loops to place your feet on when opening.
Prices are yet to be confirmed but they will be more economic that the Falteimer. Treetools will have the Steincubes available as soon as they hit the market.
