3M Lexa: specialist eyewear for competition climbers

If you have found your safety glasses fogging up halfway through the work climb you need to consider AO Safety 3M Lexa safety glasses made in the USA. Lexa safety glasses are considered one of the best available on the market for anti-fogging, scratch resistance and almost 100% UV protection. They also meet the requirements of CSA Z94.3-2007 and the High Impact Requirements of ANSI Z87.1-2003.

Treetools has landed a special shipment of smoked, clear and amber lens AO Safety 3M Lexa glasses ready for the Auckland and Asia-Pacific Regional TCC this weekend.

Climbers visiting the Treetools store this morning immediately tested the 3M treated Lexa lens with some heavy 'coffee' laden breathing, which under normalcircumstances would have completely fogged the lens. To their surprise (and ours) there was not one trace of fogging  - almost unbelievable!

The unique anti-fog ability of the inner lens is made possible via a proprietary 3M DX anti-fog coating which is renowned for its long-lasting effect. The lens itself is made from 3M Duralite Polycarbonate which features an anti-scratch surface reported to be 15 times tougher than most other safety glasses. The complete unit is also treated with an anti-static coating which actually repels dust particles. And the lens wrap around the side of your eyes foreven greater protection.

The clear lens is for everyday wear, the smoked version for full-on sun and the amber for half lights like early morning, evening or in the shade of treeson a bright day. The amber lens would have been perfect at the South Island Regional TCC, last Saturday morning in the shade of the trees in South HagleyPark.

Pricing to be confirmed.
