Trango make the Cinch which is our most popular lanyard adjuster. Now they have come up with a alpine safety knife to compliment the bigger Barracuda climbers knife. The Trango Piranha is a 'must-have' for every climber - it's a very simple design - positively 'cute'.
Small enough for your first aid kit or keyring and it has a unique safety feature in that the blade cannot be opened while its attached to a carabiner. Made entirely from 440-C surgical steel with a serrated blade for maximum rope cutting efficiency.
The blade is easily locked into position and can be opened and closed with one hand. The packaging says it has a screwdriver but I can't find one! However it does have a beer liberator for those after climb bevies which is probably more important than the screwdriver.
Treetools like this knife so much we are giving them away as prizes at the Hamilton/BoP Regional Tree Climbing Championships and Demo Day - make sure you are there to win yours.
