New tree climbers association formed in Northland

Richard Tregoweth - Wednesday, August 11, 2010

Northland tree climbers Joe Cooper and Troy Alderton have recently registered the Northland Tree Climbers Association Inc (NTCA) to help foster and develop all aspects of tree climbing in the Northland region.

This is a fantastic initiative led by Joe and Troy and is a reflection of the passion and enthusiasm currently seen in the wider tree climbing community. You only need visit the VTIO website or refer to the Jerry Lynch Arboriculture Festival in Dunedin to see what we mean.

There are a number of Auckland climbers keen to help out their Northland brothers in getting this new association underway - many hands make light work, we say. Treetools will keep you posted on NTCA developments.

In the meantime, if you are interested in finding out more information about the NTCA contact Joe Cooper direct:

Email: uptrees.upnorth@xtra.co.nz
Phone: 027 556 6948

We are all looking forward to the first Northland TCC Joe!
