Johno Smith and Zane Wedding were in charge of the kids events at last weekends NTCA Pakaraka Tree Climbers Gathering on the Alderton Farm in Northland. The tree climbing playground they built proved to be a great success.

As part of the project Zane and Johno erected a 55m speedline for the kidsusing Yale Blue Tongue Access line tensioned with a Lincoln hand winch. Blue Tongue Access is almost 100% static so it's the perfect rope for a speed line.

By early evening on Saturday, the bigger 'kids' couldn't resist giving the speedline a test run.

For the video below, New Zealand's number one tree climber, Scott Forrest donned a Treemotionharness(backwards), perfected his superman pose and set off down the line providing entertainment for all!
