Plug almost pulled on Brass Monkey Arborday Arborcamp

Jerry Lynch had a few anxious moments over the weekend as Otago was deluged with rain. First indications suggested the Brass Monkey Arborday Arborcamp, scheduled for Queens Birthday weekend would be cancelled. However, Jerry visited the Mt Stuart site this morning and has advised Treetools the camp is all go for Saturday 5 June.

Arborcamp attendees will carry out some pruning of the trees in the Mt Stuart Reserve on Saturday morning and a workshop is planned for the afternoon followed by a BBQ in the evening. Hort Training has kindly donated an iPod as a prize. Entry in the prize draw will be via a bucket strung in a tree - all you need do is climb up and put your name in the bucket. A name will be drawn from the bucket and the lucky winner gets the new iPod.

Get out your camping gear and plan for a great weekend! If you need more information phone Jerry Lynch direct on 021 735 575.
