Dunedin splicing workshop sets the tone for the Climbers Open Forum at the 2010 NZAA Conference

Menno Kluiters and Jelte Buddingh should be congratulated! The two Omnitree directors presented a superb splicing workshop in Dunedin as part of the LabourWeekend Arb Festival on Sunday 24 October.

The 'workshop' concept only works if it works - if you get my drift and Menno and Jelte really did make it work!

The Splicing Workshop started with a chat about splicing certification and this led into a more structured program about ropes, their composition, andthe relative splices that might be applied.

The day concluded with Jelte showing how it is done - smoothly and efficiently - making the various splices appear very simple (until you tried doingit yourself).

If this workshop is anything to go by the Climbers Open Forum at the NZAA Conference next month is not to bemissed - book your tickets now!
