Fixed bollards are popular with arborists for easy use and simple installation. Unfortunately, most offerings are too big for smaller rigging jobs, but the Stein SMB1000 single bollard lowering device with a WLL of 1000kg running 14mm rigging lines has changed all that. Supplied with a specially designed ratchet strap fitted with Carbon Steel hooks with Keeper Pins to prevent the mounting hooks from detaching from the device when not under tension. The webbing is made from a high tenacity 50mm wide polyester yarn and is UV resistant with a 6000kg breaking strength. This strapping system allows fitting the device to a tree with a diameter of up to 145cm. The Stein SMB1000 only weighs 4.4kg, so one person can easily mount the device utilising the top suspension point with the recommended Stein Mounting Strap. The rigging line is guided down to the bollard and managed by front and rear fairleads. The Stein SMB1000 is the ultimate light rigging fixed bollard.
