The standard kit for tree climbers includes a 900 mm long friction saver. The NOTCH Friction Saver II 36, with color-coded ends for easy retrieval, is ideal for use as a false crotch or re-direct. The new NOTCH Friction Saver 36 features Aluminum Wear Safe™ Friction Rings, which have a wear indicator mark for safety and inspection convenience. These Wear Safe™ Friction Rings have a 33% larger bend radius for optimal performance and are made from hot forged 7075 aluminum, providing exceptional durability and a high strength-to-weight ratio. With a 30kN Minimum Breaking Strength (MBS), these rings are individually serialized for traceability and quality assurance. Friction savers like the NOTCH Friction Saver 36 are essential equipment that reduce friction during ascent and prevent rope damage to the tree. Constructed from thick multi-layered fray-resistant webbing, they resist twisting and are rated 23 kN, ensuring a safe and smooth climbing experience. These tools are designed to enhance climbing efficiency and protect the trees being worked with.
