A 900 mm long friction saver is considered a 'standard' kit for tree climbers. At roughly 900mm long, the brightly coloured NOTCH Friction Saver 36, with colour coded ends for easy retrieval, is suitable for use as a false crotch or re-direct. Friction savers reduce friction during ascent and prevent rope damage to the tree. The NOTCH Friction Saver36 is constructed from thick multi-layered fray resistant webbing to resist twisting and is rated 23 kN.
