The DMM Ultra holds the position as New Zealands' No.1 selling tree climbing connector. In the latest edition of the Ultra O, DMM has cross-drilled the spine and added the Captive Bar for a secure (semi-permanent) connection. As well as keeping your configuration tidy, the Captive Bar concentrates the force towards the strongest portion of the carabiner in the event of a fall. You will need to tap the Captive Bar into place, and once installed, it is not easy to remove, so ensure you have your configuration set correctly before committing.
