Okatsune 230 Hedge Shears combine longer blades (200 mm) and handles (500 mm) for additional reach and leverage when cutting established hedges and tougher woody growth. The 200 mm blades are forged from premium IZUMO YASUGI steel and hardened to Rockwell 60.0–61.0, providing a sharp, clean cut and excellent edge retention across everything from hornbeam, pyracantha, and rhododendron to finer conifer and boxwood shaping. Japanese white oak handles help absorb vibration, while their 500 mm length provides plenty of leverage without compromising balance or cutting control. Unlike other Okatsune hedge shears with a separate stopper mounted on the left shoulder, the 230 incorporates the stopper into both handles. The blade geometry maintains alignment between the cutting and counter blades through extended use, and you can easily maintain the edges with an Okatsune whetstone. Made in Japan.
