The Aspiring Sling 150 is typically used as a 'soft' connection point - ideal for securing a mechanical adjuster on a wire core lanyard to your harness - in the case of an accident your rescuer can cut the Aspiring sling 150 away to release you from the lanyard. Spectra/Dyneema slings are extremely light and have phenomenal strength - they have a higher strength-to-weight ratio than steel. Spectra is also more resistant to the effects of ultra-violet rays and chemical attack than nylon and has roughly twice the strength. Spectra offers low water absorption which is important for winter climbing. Aspiring 15mm wide Spectra slings are rated at 22kN minimum strength. Different sizes are available for specific applications in your climbing system. A very versatile piece of equipment for your climbing kit.
