The HollowBlock2 340 mm sewn loop from Sterling Rope is a 100% Technora friction cord used to capture progress under tension. This bestselling friction hitch and autoblock is redesigned with stronger aramid fibre, significantly enhancing its resilience, grip and longevity. Crafted from 100% Technora® fibre, the 6.8mm HollowBlock2 boasts increased abrasion resistance and improved durability. Its unique hollow-braid construction provides exceptional gripping ability, making it perfect for use as a prusik or Klemheist knot on ropes 7mm or larger. The Sterling HollowBlock2 is best suited to progress capture applications, say a friction hitch substitute for a mechanical rope grab in a hauling system, rather than 'running' or fall arrest applications like a climbing or lanyard friction hitch. The Sterling HollowBlock2 is not certified for use where the system has the potential for 'slack' (or a high fall factor).
