45-meter length with a tight-eye spliced at one end (the tight-eye reduces the potential for carabiner cross loading) - 'Cool' blue/green colour. 24-strand Double-Braid Samson Vortex is a true 1/2" (12.7 mm) and the lightest premium climbing line of its size. Like its counterpart Samson Velocity, but a little larger for easy handling, Samson Vortex has the excellent knot-holding ability, works well with hardware, and is perfect for foot locking. Compared to ropes of similar size, Samson Vortex has 25–30% lower elongation when used at the same load. The low elasticity makes Samson Vortex the ideal rope for using the Singing Tree Rope Wrench. In addition, the larger, 12.7mm diameter feels more reassuring when working on a single line.
