A redesign of the classic rope grab with a specific purpose in mind - use as a mechanical lanyard adjuster. Rock Exotica have given this ropegrab a new twist - 90 degrees to be exact. The twist in the connecting eye ensures the carabiner is correctly oriented with your side D-ring (unlike traditional rope grabs). This eliminates the need for a twisted clevis or swivel which was often required, particularly with a wire core fliplines.
The Rock Exotica RockGrab also features a unique axle design supporting the cam. Rock Exotica have redesigned the axle so that attachment is now via two 2.5mm hex screws (one redundant to the other) seating perfectly with the milled, stainless axle. You can thread the rope through or remove the hex bolts and attach a wirecore flipline with eyes. The Rock Exotica RockGrab 90 should always be used with a passive load applied - never allow slack to enter your lanyard system as this can multiply the force of any fall. Not designed for vertical ascent!
