The BiWire was developed originally as a more secure alternative to a non-locking, or standard wiregate carabiner. In some cases, a carabiner can be opened by a loop in the rope, or gate coming in contact with another object. The patented double-gate design helps prevent accidental gate openings. To open the BiWire, the user must simultaneously push the outer gate and inward gate.

The Rock Exotica rockD BiWire is a unique wire gate carabiner featuring a patent pending outer gate as well as the normal inner gate.

The outer gate protects the inner gate and prevents the rope, or other objects, from opening it accidentally. With a little practise the rockD BiWire can be easily opened with one hand.

Ball peened wire gate ends for added security. Use the Rock Exotica rockD BiWire as an alternative to a non-locking carabiner when you want just that little bit of extra security. FOR EXPERT USE ONLY.

  • The rockD Bi-Wire is not a substitute for a regular locking carabiner
  • More resistant to contaminants and debris than other mechanisms
  • Unique double-action wiregate operation - offers more security than a single wire gate
  • Ball peened wire gate ends for added security
  • CE Certified to EN 12275-B
  • Made in the USA
