BaSt-Ing ValFix 15T Spindle Wedge is an exceptionally lightweight mechanical felling wedge that delivers high lifting force without the weight and bulk of conventional spindle wedges. Weighing less than 1.4 kg, the ValFix produces more than 15 tonnes of lifting force, thanks to its very shallow 10° wedge angle, which reduces the effort required to lift and control the tree. Twin grease nipples on the threaded nuts simplify lubrication and help maintain smooth operation during long working days. The ValFix is driven with a 10 mm hex socket and can be operated with an impact wrench rated up to 650 Nm; the socket must remain fully engaged on the hex during use. Particular care is required on trees below approximately 25 cm diameter, where the wedge tip may extend into the hinge or breakline.
