The French Touch Concept (FTC) Grappin makes traversing the same tree or moving to the next tree simpler and safer than traditional methods. Using a short length of throwline and the FTC Grappin you can install the tail of your climbing line around a remote limb producing a secure 'closed system' for the traverse - correct positioning the rope means it cannot slip off the branch as you get closer to the anchor point. The three hooks welded back-to-back, along with a central groove to keep the line at the centre of gravity - the FTC Grappin works every time (with a little practice).
