The Climbing Technology Cric is a multifunctional ascender/rope clamp with an integrated pulley for aerial arboriculture, tree climbing, mountaineering, rope access work, and rescue operations. The device offers four different modes of operation: ascender, pulley, rope clamp/pulley, and progress-capture hauling pulley. It allows for ascending the rope, as a simple pulley for lifting or transferring loads or as a redirect for more straightforward rope ascent or lifting without additional connectors. The CT Cric is essential for direct lifting, creating hauling systems, and rescuing a person from a crevasse. In pulley mode, the rope can run freely in both directions, while in hauling-pulley mode, the rope can only run in one direction and is locked in the opposite one. The progress-capture hauling pulley mode enables lowering the lifted load by manipulating the dedicated cord connected to the cam within the device. Installing the device on the rope is easy, thanks to the intuitive release button, even wearing gloves or in challenging conditions. The CT Cric features a steel cam with teeth that minimize rope wear and effectively block the rope. The cam's design also reduces dirt build-up, maintaining efficient rope lock in various conditions, including muddy or frozen ropes.
