Ascend or descend using doubled rope technique (DdRT) - all in one unit! Works the same way as a friction hitch but instead of friction cord, the ART Lockjack has an aluminium floating cam which 'pinches' the line when under load to control the speed of descent. Replaceable cams - the unit comes with two different sized cams - one for 11-12 mm rope and the other for 12-13 mm. Your climbing line will run freely through the ART Lockjack when not under load ensuring no slack in your line. Ideal for limb walking. Includes a built-in swivel to eliminate twisting of your line. This device is very sensitive and only suitable for experienced climbers. Please ensure you configure with an appropriate carabiner: ISC Gator, DMM Zodiac, DMM Shadow, DMM Ultra O, Petzl Am'D and Petzl OK. 'Heavier' climbers feel very much at home with the ART Lockjack Sport.
