We had to put this one up for a Friday night - what not to do with climbing ropes and a chainsaw - this guy definitely wasn't trained by Andy Neverman.

We've been asked a few times about sharpening Silky saws. Only the Sugoi, Masaru, Ibuki, Hayuachi and Hayate models are sharpenable. The teeth on these saws has a slight set and the tooth edge is designed specifically for sharpening. Treetools stock a special file for sharpening Silky saws.

We have had a number or requests for the new Tachyon rope from New England Ropes. As arborist climbing rope goes this appears to be one of the best on the market. Technically its an 11.5 mm rope but it performs well with hardware designed for use with 11 mm ..
