These heavy-duty (28mm High Tensile steel), swivel head log skidding tongs are the genuine article from BAC Industries in the USA. The grapple opens a generous 32 inches (812mm) to accommodate most small to medium diameter logs. As the load is applied, the tongs close in and securely grip the wood. The swivel hook is easily attached using 3/8 chain (sold separately) and rotates according to the direction the load is skidding. The fine ground teeth pivot 360° for added security. Ideal for winching or log skidding using an ATV. The BAC Skidding Tongs are for log skidding operations only; they are not suitable for overhead lifting. Made in the USA.
