Samson Stable Braid 16 mm 3m Deadeye Sling for small-diameter trees. This versatile rigging sling attaches arborist impact blocks and lowering devices directly to the tree. The spliced eye connects to the rigging hardware, while the sling chokes securely around the stem using a cow hitch or timber hitch. When using a timber hitch with modern coated ropes such as Stable Braid, five wraps provide greater contact with the stem than the traditional three-wrap configuration. Positioning the block firmly against the tree helps minimise movement and shock loading during rigging operations. Built from Samson’s durable Stable Braid, the 16 mm Deadeye Sling pairs well with arborist impact blocks and swinging bollards for sectional dismantling and everyday tree rigging. The stated SWL is based on a conservative 10:1 safety factor.
