The Klettersteig shape maximizes the carabiner's strength by placing the load close and parallel to the carabiner's spine. The Klettersteig shape takes the strength and volume increases of an Offset D and extends them even further to give a high volume, super-strong connector. In addition, the Klettersteig's wide gate opening makes it particularly suitable for clipping oversize items or allows ease of use in more everyday situations. Cold forged and fully heat-treated for very high strength. Zinc plated and passivated for corrosion resistance. A very robust carabiner - particularly suited for securing rigging anchor points.
