Genuine Maillon Rapide Delta (triangular shape) screw-link - made in France by Peguet. Excellent for rigging because they are cheap, strong and not prone to failure due to incorrect loading. Less likely to un-screw than karabiners. Cane be secured with a spanner and Loctite for permanent application. Always rig with the screwing up in a downward direction - this reduces the risk of the Maillon un-screwing due to vibration. eg when used as a chainsaw attachment. great for rigging rope to webbing - the eye is drawn up into the top corner and the webbing runs along the bottom diagonal. Excellent for harness attachments. eg small rope bag with webbing loop attached to a harness.

  • This shape is also good for connecting webbing to a fixed attachment point - can be used to connect their fall-arrest lanyards to the D-rings on harnesses
