Petzl France has initiated an inspection notice for Petzl GRILLON products manufactured between October 2023 and December 2023 following the detection of ropes mounted incorrectly in the rope adjuster (back to front). When the lanyard ropes are mounted this way, the Grillon adjuster fails to perform its blocking function, which can pose a risk of injury.
We are pleased to confirm that all Petzl GRILLON lanyards currently in stock at Treetools are COMPLIANT, as denoted by a green dot on each item, following a thorough inspection to ensure correct assembly.
Please check the correct assembly if you recently purchased a Petzl Grillon Lanyard. If you find yours incorrectly assembled (NON-COMPLIANT), please record the serial number, disassemble it, and reassemble it correctly (see link). Please advise Treetools regarding of the affected serial numbers.
The standard pre-use functionality test serves as an indicator of the proper assembly of Petzl GRILLON products.
