We have had a number of requests from customers to supply tree 'related' books. Recently landed are two books written by Jeff Jepson and illustrated by Bryan Kotwica. Both Jeff and Bryan are from the industry so they know what they are talking about (and drawing).
The Tree Climbers Companion is considered compulsory reading for any professional tree climber (or those aspiring climbers out there) and To Fell a Tree is Jeff's second book.The Tree Climbers Companion has sold over 100,000 copies and when you read through it you can see why. Its only just over 100 pages but packed with useful information and illustrations.
Jeff's second book follows in a similar vain but is more specific. If felling trees is a big part of your job this book is a 'must read'. See page 138 for Jeff's reference to the Portable Winch soon to be available from Treetools. We will list these books on the website over the next few days.
