Splicing Circle planned prior to SI Regional TCC

Splicing Circle planned prior to SI Regional TCC

Richard Tregoweth - Monday, August 20, 2012

The South Island Tree Climbers and Gentleman's Guild is at it again - the 2012 Splicers Circle is to be held on the evening Friday 31 August at the Riccarton Racecourse prior to the NZ Arbor Husqvarna South Island Regional TCC.

The original plan was to have Drew Bristow (DB Tree) pass on some of his splicing secrets but job commitments in Australia have precluded Drew's involvement.

Not to be deterred, event organizers, the South Island Tree Climbers and Gentleman's Guild have forged ahead with their Splicers Circle meeting (not to be confused with the knitters circle depicted in the flyer for the event).

Head Guildy and renowned Gentleman Jerry Lynch says "bring along your splicing kits and get together with other splicing guru's to share ideas, methods and special tricks and discuss bigger issues like splicing certification etc". The Guild is laying on a pizzas and a few beers - not to be missed one would have thought.

All jokes aside, the Splicers Circle should be well worth the effort of attending if you are in Christchurch for the 2012 Regional TCC. Contact Jerry direct on 027 808 0353 to book a spot.
