Safety Alert from Cookes

Safety Alert from Cookes

Richard Tregoweth - Friday, February 11, 2011

Lifting chains are not that common in arb work but some companies may have them in their rigging kits so Cookes have asked Treetools to advise customers of a possible defect in Grade 80 and Grade 100 chain lifting components sold by Cookes throughout the country from June last year.

The problem lies with Grade 80 and Grade 100 Rings and Multirings manufactured by Weissenfel in Italy and distributed in New Zealand by Cookes from June 2010.

Check the product pictures on page 2 to see if you are using any of these items and remove immediately them from service. Contact Cookes for replacement, their contact details can be found on the flyer.
