There's no stopping this guy! Check out the latest story in today's Otago Daily Times featuring Drew Bristow, of DB Tree and Climb Every Thing fame, tackling NZ's tallest (known) tree, the 80m Orokunui eucalyptus in Dunedin.
Later in the year, Drew plans to return to Orokunui with film maker Greg Parker to record the eco systems found in this giant eucalypt.
Greg shot the, now famous, Waitakere 'Kauri Climb' video with Drew and another well-known Auckland tree climber Johno Smith back in 2010. Drew, Johno and Greg also worked together on the Marum volcano expeditions in 2010 and 2011.
The Orokunui gum climb is a precursor to an even bigger film project called Climbing Africa Giants where Drew and Greg will join forces with Stephan Fry, David Wiles and Geoff Pugsley in an effort to climb and record Africa's largest and tallest trees.
