While this is technically a left-handed unit, right-handed climbers with big hands prefer this model - the cam adjuster is on the right side and well out of the way of your thumb. That is, you cannot accidentally knock it with your thumb while ascending.
The Kong Futura is the smallest and lightest hand ascender available. More intuitive to use than other ascenders - your hand grips the Kong Futura ascender in the same way you would grip the rope itself - the angle of your arm and hand relative to the rope feels just right.
