The simplicity of the Singing Tree Rope Wrench is attracting plenty of attention

F8 Revolver designer, Kevin Bingham (treebing on TreeBuzz ) announced the invention of the Singing Tree Rope Wrench a month or so ago and this new descending tool is now attracting plenty of attention from tree climbers around the world.

Made from a stick of hickory this uniquely shaped descender is threaded onto the climbing rope and is pushed up the rope by the friction hitch during ascent. When it comes to descent, it engages and imitates the friction generated by a rope passing over a limb.
