New Zealand Arboricultural Association, in conjunction with STIHL, is running a series of four Regional Tree Climbing
Competitions (TCCs) held in Christchurch, Auckland, Hamilton and Wellington throughout 2010.
See Treetools on Flickr for photographs taken at the 2010 Auckland Regional TCC, Saturday 20 March, Western Park, Freeman's Bay, Auckland.
The top climbers (five male and five female) from each of the Regional Tree Climbing Competitions will be eligible to
compete in the NZAA/STIHL National Tree Climbing Championship (NTCC) held in November 2010, Auckland.
This is your chance to meet and compete with fellow arborists, learn new techniques and see firsthand differing
climbing styles. The overall winner of the NTCC will go on to represent New Zealand at the International Society of
Arboriculture (ISA) International Tree Climbing Championship (ITCC) held in the Brisbane, Australia in July next year.
Get along to Western Park, Freeman's Bay (7:30 am start) and spend the day competing,
socialising and networking with arborists from throughout the region and the country.
A $30.00 entry fee for all contestants is required. This fee is to cover set up costs.
For further information please contact the regional coordinator: Craig Webb phone 021 811 757
Copies of the rules are available for download here. It is the contestant’s responsibility
to familiarise themselves with the current ITCC rules. Download more information here.
