The Queensland Arboricultural Associated has officially recognized the kiwi climbers who made the effort to attend the 2010 Queensland Tree Climbing Championships at Eumundi Markets last weekend by posting a mention on the QAA website.
Climbing brothers, Matt and Johno Smith and fellow Auckland climber Zane Wedding managed to attend the event following some rapid 'paperwork' by Treetools late last week.
Official results are not posted yet but Johno came in fourth overall, placing second in the aerial rescue (using the Unicender). A good effort guys and great for kiwi/aussie tree climbing relations!
