If you have registered (or intend to register) for the Labour Weekend Splicing Workshop led by Menno Kluiters and Jelte Buddingh in Dunedin, spend some time reviewing the excellent step-by-step splicing videos provided free by Samson on their website.
The splicing tutorial videos are also available in a two-DVD set. The splicing DVD set will be available from Treetools along with other splicing aids: ARS splicing scissors, rope pens, splicing instruction books and fid sets before the end of the year.
The Splicing Workshop, sponsored by Donahys, is part of a weekend of arboricultural celebration organized by Jerry Lynch. Activities will include a tree climbing exhibition by Otago Polytech Arb students and the Arborists Ball - more information can be found on the NZAA website or Dunedin Arboricultural Festival on Facebook .
