NTCA Aerial Rescue Open Forum this weekend in Whangarei

Richard Tregoweth - Wednesday, August 22, 2012

Make sure you head north to Whangarei this weekend for the NTCA Aerial Rescue and tree climbers Open Forum at Mander Park - see map below. The AR day gets underway at 8:30am (Saturday 25 August) and will finish with a BBQ hosted by Northland Treeworks Ben Howell.

The event is open to all aerial arborists and tree climbers in the Northern Region (or elsewhere for that matter). SRT proponent and Thoughtplanters trainer Johno Smith will run a special workshop for ex-Foundation Certificate arb students. The floor will be open to ex-FCA to exchange ideas and ask questions - chances are, Johno will come up with some interesting set-ups for you to trail.

Bring along the kids for some tree climbing, the NTCA have plenty of junior gear courtesy of Treetools - the sausage sizzle is planned to start about 2:00pm.

You'll find out more about the Aerial Rescue and Open Forum on the NTCA Facebook page or the Rakau arb apparel website (owned by NTCA founder Joe Cooper).
