Lightweight Yale 12mm alternative for 13mm rope users

Lightweight Yale 12mm alternative for 13mm rope users

Richard Tregoweth - Thursday, July 15, 2010

Christchurch climber Adam Hartshorne, who is currently traveling in Europe, picked up some of the new 12mm Yale Imori (pronounced EEE-MOR-LEE) at the recent UK Arb Show - he will probably be the first climber in New Zealand to trial this new rope.

According to the review by Steve Bullman on ArbTalk , Yale Imori will appeal to climbers who find the new lightweight 11mm ropes too thin to provide a decent grip. Yale Imori is a good compromise; it has the lightweight feel and performance of a 24-strand but with the grip of a 13mm line.

Ask Adam how he finds Yale Imori 12mm once he returns to NZ.
