If you are planning to register in the morning for the 2010 NZAA/Stihl Auckland Regional TCC at Western Park in Freeman's Bay you will probably be sh*t out of luck. Registrations have officially closed. Craig Webb, the Auckland Regional Coordinator, says allowing late entries on the day creates too many logistical issues to be practical - climbers should have registered their entries earlier.

Parking at Western Park will be at a premium over both days, particularly off the Hepburn Street entrances: Beresford Street West, Tahuna Street and Smith Street, Craig has organized additional parking at Auckland Girls Grammar, through Gate 4 off Howe Street - follow the TCC signs. See map below.

The weekend weather forecast for Saturday and Sunday appears to be almost the same as today: around 20°C, cloudy periods with south westerly winds gusting to 30 kmh. Sunday looks to be the better day of the two with lighter winds from the west.

Thanks to Neal (Nicky Ward-Allen's husband) the ITCC scoring software, which caused a few headaches for Jerry Lynch at Christchurch last weekend has been re-written to ensure the correct results can be posted on the day.

There is a bit of a walk from the car parks and to the competition trees so bring a Beach Rolly to transport your gear!

Start time 7:30am and don't forget to read the 2010 ITCC Rulebook.
