A climbers Open Forum Workshop, presented by Dunedin climbers Menno Kluiters and Jelte Buddingh, is scheduled for the 2010 NZAA Conference, Ellerslie Convention Centre, 11-13 November. Climbers should find this a welcome addition to the conference programme.
The workshop will include topics like: climbing rope inspection, anchor point loading, work positioning, footlock versus mechanical device ascending techniques and how to perform an aerial rescue in the event of an accident during ascent.
Both Menno and Jelte have a wealth of international and local tree climbing experience: this workshop should not be missed! See the NZAA website for more information.
