Arborday activities Saturday June 5

Richard Tregoweth - Thursday, June 03, 2010

Arborday (and World Environment Day) is this Saturday, June 5 and the NZAA have a number of activities planned. NZAA President Rick Mexted has this to say “Arbor Day is an excellent opportunity to take stock of your trees and plan for the future – inspect your trees, check for broken branches or evidence of disease or insect infection, visit your local nursery to see what’s available and even plant a tree.”

Below is a list of what is happening on Saturday June 5 but visit the NZAA website for more detailed information:

Arborday 'Brass Monkey  " Arborcamp, Mt Stuart Reserve, Otago.
Call for Support for Tree Planting throughout the country
Sustaining Auckland - the Role of Trees: speaker and panel discussion, Grey Lynn Community Centre
