SOLD BY THE METER Samson Ultra-Tech 8mm is a double-braid friction cord that has an outer cover of 24-strand polyester and an inner core of 100% Technora fiber, which is coated with a unique Samthane coating. Technora fiber is known worldwide for its high strength, heat resistance, and low stretch. As Ultra-Tech has virtually no stretch, it is a popular friction hitch cord for all climbing configurations. For splicing, it is better to use a Class II double braid splice, the construction makes it more suitable for a Whiptail Sewn Termination.
